The Deep Science Behind the Enneagram

Eric Lyleson Enneagram

The Enneagram symbol is seen as a model of the underlying patterns that connect our knowledge of psychology, biology, physics, mythology and spirituality. Unlike other theories that show the Enneagram in a static two-dimensional way, this Essential Wholeness will broaden your perspective into an expanding multidimensional model, much like a three-dimensional spiral. With the right mathematics it might be represented as a fractal.

New Ideas Arise out of the Deep Ecology of our True Nature

Every really new idea looks crazy at first. Alfred North Whitehead Ideas are the seminal cognitions of the objects of our perception; essentially, untried concepts. All creativity begins with the possibility of something new being conceived. New ideas that are inspiring lead to the birth of new hypotheses, beliefs, values, capabilities, behaviors and ideals of […]

Evolve or Perish?

Although humans have become the most proficient species at fighting and fleeing, that is not what has been the main thrust of what has propelled us to dominate the landscape. Human evolution has been driven by our ability to respond creatively and cooperatively to challenges, as well as our ability to envision a better future and devising the means to achieve it. If we evaluate our reptilian predecessors who dominated our planet, we find that they were very good at the four Fs — fighting, fleeing, feeding and procreating, but had little ability to learn how to creatively and cooperatively relate to their world. Tyrannosaurus Rex — the creature at the top of the food chain — was the pinnacle of brutish reptilian power.

Enneagram Essential Quality of phase FIVE – Space

Inner Spaciousness It is our experience of essential space that puts our petty attachments and the self-imposed limitations into perspective, like the vastness of Outer Space reminds us that Earth is but a speck of dust in a universe of billions of galaxies. Enneagram of Essential Qualities of Soul

Our essential quality of peace seeks to cooperate more fully with life as it is emerging within and around us. This inspires greater mindfulness of our internal and external experience. This leads us to a greater sense of compassion in the way we relate to ourselves and the rest of creation. Out of compassion we find the strength to promote life’s emerging agendas and address our inadequacies and past mistakes with forgiveness. Through forgiveness we are able to experience the present moment as it is, which in turn opens up the space in our consciousness to investigate the nature of reality more fully. Spacious awareness just accepts everything as it is, whereby we can differentiate fact from fiction. Acceptance of everything opens us to appreciation of everything and the joyously blissful nature of consciousness. What Paradigm Defines your Psychotherapeutic Approach?

Psychotherapeutic Paradigms – Dominant-submissive vs. Ecological Cooperation Many of those who adopt psychoanalytic theory contend that it is important for the socially constructed ego to maintain control over the emotional impulses of the id and other emotional impulses stored in the unconscious mind. Forgiveness the Essential Quality of Phase FOUR of the Enneagram

Forgiveness is the Essential Quality of Enneagram Phase 4

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Forgiveness is remembering the innocence of all creation in each unfolding moment. All forgiveness is essentially self-forgiveness. No one, including ourselves, deserves to suffer; painful things are merely part of life. Forgiveness allows whatever arises in our senses to come and go without attaching a story to it and then getting lost in the […]
